We all know we should drink 8 glasses of water a day for optimum health (including reducing food cravings and revving up metabolism)
I forget some days but find when I'm accountable, I do better. I'm accountable to myself when I keep track.
I can use fitday.com (my favourite online calorie counter) or a more manual method of a shot glass and eight pennies beside the sink.
I keep a little shot glass with a Canadian flag on it and 8 shiny pennies near my kitchen sink. Each time I drink a glass of water, I put a penny in the shot glass. I'm near the kitchen sink many times a day so the penny pile serves as a reminder and can be very helpful in helping me see if I meet my goal as well as reminding me to drink.
Don't forget the water rule with hunger cravings. If you feel hungry between meals, try drinking a glass of water and waiting for fifteen minutes before eating. Most times, you'll find you're really not that hungry.
